Role Description The Owner role is a full-time, on-site position based in Seville, responsible for the overall strategy, operations, and growth of the amateur League of Legends league. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing competition formats and schedules, managing staff and volunteers, and ensuring smooth execution of both online and in-person events. The Owner will develop partnerships with sponsors, teams, and community organizations, handle budgeting and resource allocation, and maintain compliance with relevant policies and regulations. This role also involves setting the league’s long-term vision, supervising marketing and community engagement initiatives, and making data-informed decisions to improve the player and spectator experience. The Owner is expected to be present on-site to coordinate operations, attend meetings, and represent the league in local and regional esports networks.

Qualifications

Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making abilities to guide staff, volunteers, and partners.Experience in operations, event coordination, or project management, preferably within esports, gaming, or sports organizations.Business, financial, and organizational skills, including budgeting, resource planning, and strategic planning.Knowledge of League of Legends, competitive structures, and esports ecosystems, with a genuine interest in player development.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with sponsors, teams, and community stakeholders.Competence in marketing, social media, or community engagement to promote leagues, events, and brand initiatives.Ability to work on-site full time in Seville, with flexibility to support events during evenings or weekends when needed.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, Communications, or a related field is beneficial, or equivalent relevant experience.Proficiency in English and Spanish is an advantage, along with familiarity with online collaboration and tournament platforms.
