Program Summary

KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.

Job Summary

The USAF Dining Facility (DFAC) Food Service Supervisor works closely with the Dining Facility Manager to ensure the food service operation adheres to all established guidelines.  The Food Service Supervisor is a working lead that supervises daily food service operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient meal preparation, service, and cleanliness. They coordinate with management to address staffing needs, resolve issues, and maintain smooth dining facility operations. Additionally, they assist their staff with menu preparations, cooking and serving when required.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • The Supervisor must inspect the facility and operation thoroughly making sure everything flows smoothly
  • Prior to the start of the meals, the supervisor must ensure the cashiers are fully aware of all menu options and prices
  • Assist Public Health inspectors during monthly inspections; record equipment and food temperatures every four hours
  • Adhere to all Safety, Hygiene and Sanitation Standards; keep up with all required training
  • Wear a clean uniform and pertinent personal protective equipment
  • Work shifts
  • Assumes all management responsibilities in the absence of the Dining Facility Manager
  • Cover as a cashier as needed
  • Maintain and adhere to all safety guidelines and standards

Basic Qualifications

  • Food Handler’s Certificate
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a restaurant or hospitality industry
  • Be able to read, write and speak, and comprehend English level III

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management
  • Computer skills
  • Customer Service experience in a military environment
  • Experience supervising groups
